OK,
I shoot in RAW and then covert to JPEG so I can use Photoshop CS (should I convert to tiff for any reason).
What I need to do is create a script with my name or the name I come up with for my photograhpy work. Does someone have a tutorial that shows how to create the text and then apply it to a group of photos or even a single photo?
I have never used text or really layers in PS, I'm kinda new to this stuff!
Thanks for the link or the help!!!!!!

If you are going to do any editing to the picture after raw conversio, it is recommended that you convert to .tif or .psd at 16 bit color depth. The reason for this is to avoid posturation and banding caused by multiple rounds of jpeg compression. When you have finished you edits, flatten and convert to 8 bit, crop and resize, and save as a jpeg.

About 1/3 of the way down (or do a search on watermark on that page).

Looks like that tutorial is for CS2 not CS.
I will try the link above this weekend.
Thanks!

Would this be the same steps as creating a "signature" on the bottom of the picture? Just placing it in a different location?

This one seems to make some assumptions that you are familiar with PS, I'm not so I need to find a more descriptive process. Thanks.

For the signature, I like to create a custom brush out of my own signature, using the Wacom tablet or a special font. That way you can adjust the size and stamp it wherever you want. Then I have an action assigned to a shortcut key that embosses it. Use 'custom brush' in the search box in Photoshop Help, to see how to make a brush. Basically you make a new document with the text, select the text, and go to Edit > Define Brush Preset and name it.

You are correct, I have found several tutorials that walk you through each click. These seem to be the most helpful in the learning process.
I'm a bit ADD I hate to read unless it is specific to what I want to know at that moment.

Sometimes in my impatience, I miss crucial steps, but sometimes this results in new discoveries as well. There are a lot of ways to skin a cat in PS, not all of them are clearly documented.
