Has anyone tried making custom settings on a EOS 10D to try and match/simulate using certain film types, ie: Provia, Velvia etc....?

Great Question! I'd also be interested in what others have to say about this...but with limited amount of available settings I'm sure that the list of films which can be mimicked will be small.

Well I havn't tried it, but is has been done.
www.fredmiranda.com have a photoshop action called 'Digital Velvia' - I have seen the results of that to be pretty impressive.
