This pic was taken with my new Canon S70, this is also the first time I have tried to pan and shoot. I took loads of out of focus, target missed etc. shots, but I think I am begining to get the hang of it!
Comments welcome.

I like that a lot.
Could possibly do with a closer crop but you would miss what is excellent motion blur.
What settings did you use?

Canon PowerShot S70 1/60, f8.0,ISO50
I have cropped the photo already, I had a limited zoom on the S70, but I've just aquired a telephoto converter for next time! :D

Thanks, hopefully I'm off to Snetterton this weekend, so I should have a chance to test my new telephoto lens.
I wanna try to get some head on shots this time. The one above was taken at Brands Hatch on the inside of Druids. Brands seems to be quite difficult to shoot with a restricted optical zoom.

Yes, I recognised the location. The inside of Druids is one of the few places where you can get away with a short-ish lens at Brands. The far end of the South Bank just as it turns onto the GP circuit is another spot.
At Snetterton go for the outfield just past the Bomb Hole or the chicane before the start finish straight from the infield.

I'm impressed, can't be easy with an S70. I went to Snetterton last weekend for the testing. The infield at Russel is a good place to start as you're pretty damn close to the action.
Links below are to shots taken at Russel

What would that be in 35mm equivalent? Liked the photo by the way, colours and clutterless backdrop work very well.

That would be 28 - 100mm (35mm equiv) 3.6x zoom, with the 2x Tele conversion lens I'm testing out this weekend that will extend it to 200mm.
(...I'm begining to think I should have gone for a DSLR)
