In specs for the d30 in places on the internet, I see that this camera can take multiple exposures. I can't find anything in the manual or on the camera that would indicate multiple exposures. Am I out of luck? Or where do I find the settings? Thanks for any help.

Why would you want to do this? Just take two pictures and combine them in Photoshop. Or am I not understanding your question?

Ok, I'll try this. I just got the camera. With my other canons I have been shooting double (or more) exposures of flowers, making a painterly effect, which I like. Thanks

You combine them in a photo editing program! You get better exposure and MUCH more control of the multiple exposure image.
This link shows a image I did which consists of parts of 5 different exposures.
