I have an upcoming shoot. As soon as the weather gets warmer. They have already told me they love black and white prints. What are the best colors for clothes to photograph for B&W?

White shirt and black pants or skirt?

But seriously, I think just about any color clothing should be OK as long as there is a mix of color tones (light, middle and dark colors), unless you are going for low-key or high-key look.

If you are shooting people, skin tones tend to look better when the conversion is biased for green, using the channel mixer method. Therefore, if they are wearing green, the effect will lighten that article of clothing. Just a little something to keep in mind.

Rotate the color wheel in your head and think what's going to be light and what is going to be dark.

"Don't wear black, don't wear white" still stands in BW photography.
