Hello,

I have a 350D and the battery is NB-2LH. If I get a Sterlingtek equivalent battery, would I have to also buy a Sterlingtek charger, or could I safely charge the Sterlingtek battery in the Canon charger which came with my XT?

Also has anybody had any experience with Sterlingtek equivalents for Rebel XT....

Thanks,

Jessica

I bought several Sterlingtek 511's for my 20D and routinely charge them in my Canon Charger. I did not buy a Sterlingtek charger. So far so good. Dennis

Same same; I have about half a dozen Sterlingtek batteries for my 2 cameras.

They have been problem free and charge just fine on the Canon chargers.

They work just fine in the Canon charger.

Your Canon charger will be fine.

Thanks guys... I was just a little worried that it somehow wouldn't be safe or something! Ok, now to order...

yes, as an XT (and a Sterlingtek battery) owner I can vouch for the canon charger being able to charge Sterlingtek's batteries.

Just as a feedback, I've a Sterlingtek battery for my XT as well. Well yesterday on a Canon charger, it stated blinking green and then red. I tried to recharge it after a small amount of use, but it would rehcareg and glow red and then start blinking green and red (I assume after it's been fully charged). I used it today and after a while, it started making the camera go nuts, so I changed back to Canon battery and everything is fine.

They have a good return policy, so I suspect that they will exchange it for me, but it does make me a bit nervous about these batteries now.
BTW, this is my second Sterlingtek and the first one for a 300D was fine.

I charge our sterlingtek batteries in the Canon charger with no problems.
