Pretty shots. I like looking through the wings to see the flower parts below.

#1 is beautiful...the contrast between the fly and yellow is well done.

overall, well taken pictures with correct exposure/sharpness/details.

Wonderfull details, but it is a little too dark for my taste.

Lovely shots HF- think #1 works best. Just about impossible to get good exposure of both flower and bug with a light coloured flower like this without a lot of playing around with multiple exposures (or multiple RAW processing).

The sharpness is awesome, but I think they are all under exposed :?

Thanks everyone for the comments:D :D but regarding the exposer of the hover,i've noticed that some are very dark(black) and some are very lite in colour and that their colours are bright or dull, i don't know if it is a temperture thing or what, time of year etc, but this hover was very dark.:)

Did you use flash for these ? Other than the slightly under hoverfly, The sharpness is excellent :D Somehow, I prefer the wings not cropped :D:D:D

I love #1 especially. Nice composition and very sharp, all of them. I have to agree that the pics are all a bit underexposed but I think you can fix it without messing up the white of the flower (except #2, you cave a bright corner there)
