Hi, I am going to the Borneo to track orangutangs and wondred if anyone has any useful tips for taking good monkey and rainforest pictures? (I have a new Ixus 400). Also, will the camera/battery life be affected by the high humidity??

You have probably already left, but the humidity can damage the camera.
I would use an underwaterhousing to be sure to not get any humidity into the housing of the camera.

It would look very funny to carry the camera housed in an underwater case.

It's also funny that my A70 stopped working during a yatch tour when taking photos of coasts. There was high humidity. It's in service for repair now.

I don't remember any warnings about humidity in camera's manual.

Anyone has any comments?
