Inside a very very very dark punga hut (dark native wood), ambient light was so low it was as good as darkness. Tin roof so good reflections. Raining outside. 580EX on camera pointed towards roof, 550EX slave inside a half barrel slightly behind the couple pointed towards the roof. Ran an action called duotone dream on it, the color one's cool too though.

Tim, you are the MAN! It's beautiful. I love everything about it, except the drink. Something tropical would have been better. Come on! Just kidding. Well, maybe something with a pineapple or coconut? :)
You seem to get these amazing ways of taking shots and then pp them to work beautifully. You definitely earn your keep. I'm taking notes . . . .

Tim...nice shot and nice action work. Is this the B&G? If so, there is a troubling amount of real and emotional distance between them.
Also, you may want to look at the copyright year in your faming script...

Yep I see the year thing, having internet connection problems so it'll do. I think best avoid comments about the B&G and stick to the photo.
Thanks Suzy :) I'm starting to feel competent :D

Loving the video cameras at wedding - 70-200 IS @ F4, ISO400, 1/100th. This camera had a huge screen.... 6 inches accross or so!
This has to be the last one for tonight, i've been up 17 hours now and i'm pretty stuffed.

Uhhhmmm...I am talking about the image, Tim. IMO, the the composition is what creates the distance, placing an actual barrier between them, when a sense of oneness and togetherness should probably be portrayed. On the flipside, at least it shows a sense of sevanthood with him pouring a drink for her. It would be different if it weren't the B/G, which is why I asked.
In no way would I ever comment on someone personally, not have I.

I supose it is all in the eye of the viewer, when first viewing I immediately was drawn to the hands together. To me, there is a feeling of intimacy in that.

Tim nice shots, I agree with suzy on the first one. A tropical drink would have really made the shot.

Heh yeah a tropical drink would be good, but there wasn't one of them within 10km of that place!

I love the lighting on the first one. Do you think it would be possible with just the 580 ex? I'm wondering because that's all I have.

No way - the slaved backlight is what makes that shot IMHO.

I bought a L-358 to start doing the same thing. I dont have studio strobes yet, but I wanted to get a light meter to confim the camreas internal meter, and or shoot 100% Manul Mode.
I got Wireless Speedlights , which I kinda like since I dont like the bulk of strobes..
