I like the pic, I intend to do a few project with my camera, and smoke was one of the choices I was considering... I'm pleased you posted this as it will give me something to aim for.
Can I ask how you got the pure background, and the light on highlighting the wisp of smoke?

The background was just a black piece of paper place 1' behind. The light on the smoke was provided with a flashlight. So the setup is pretty simple. Then you need to do some levels adjustment in PS to make the background properly black and some USM to tighten things up.
