I've been working on photography skills and will venture out with a friend who does weddings to test those skills.

As of late I'm getting a fair amout of requests for my time to do studio sessions and family outdoors portraits. I'd like to start making a little cash from this and think the best way is to start small with the people who are asking for sessions.

I've put together a website to get this off the ground but could use some professional feedback.

WebSite: www.daugharty.com (http://www.daugharty.com)

Thanks for your feedback!

Are you building the website or are you having somebody do it for you? My feeling is that you need to use better pictures. The one on the pricing page is too dark and the subjects could be brought closer up by cropping. They just don't seem to pop. Did you take the images used on the banner or are they from clip art? I like the design of your website it looks very professional. Has a few navigation problems. :-) ...Bob

I feel that the pictures are a little too small .

I would agree that the pictures on the opening page are a little small (i.e. the santa) and the photos in the geese slide show do look dark. I would agree, though, the site looks nice.

The site looks very professional, but agree about the image sizes.

Also, the pics don't work on the gallery page for me. I am using Mac, so make sure it is compatible in all browsers (IE, Safari, Firefox etc).

I have built several sites for myself in the past but have not built one yet for my photography. I to think the pics need to be bigger and something we were told is all pics should always be the same size on a website.
Your opening page should give a BANG.
A suggestion instead of using the darker grey go for black there. That way the 2 colors are not to close to the same.
If you are wanting this site to be able to be picked up on google consider adding more keywords in the tags anything and everything you can think of that has to do with what you are wanting to do. You can add tags such as weddings, photography, pictures, pics, the town you live in, etc. The more you have the better.
