Greetings all,
I was hoping you could share some of your 'custom poses'. I know there are all the standard 'must get' shots but what about the special poses you have couples or wedding party do to make your photos stand apart.
I just looked at Tim's last post and he has a "Wave your hands in the air like madmen" shot and in my opinion these are what make a good set of wedding photos into a great set of wedding photos.
Any one have anything they would like to share....please.

I have alway felt that candid shots along with traditional ones have always made an outstanding wedding album.

Yesterday i had a whole list of shots i wanted the wedding party to do, mainly because i knew the couple and the bridal party and they were all a bit cooky.
Some shots included:
I gave the grooms men the bridesmaid flowers and told them to act demure and girly, then they had to do "COLES" Poses (If your not Aussie you prolly wont know what that means - just really bad catalogue poses pointing and looking liek your deep in thought haha)
I got the B&G to stand forward looking at me, with the Maids & Groomsmen jumping in the air
The grooms men made their own fun and decided to hide in the bush's - another shot
I tilt my camera so that i get everyone in frame but give a cintemporary effect
I get up high and look down on the wedding party
Maybe go througha heap of photo's and write down your favourite poses into a book, take it with you, i know it didn't look 100% professional for me, BUT i got the shots i wanted (If i didnt have it written down i would have a mental blank like always!) plus they were all my friends so i was able to say it was "My photographer book of secrets" hahaha
Its up to the individuals style, also the creativity of the photographer at the time :)

700? Welcome to the age of the digital. 700 buying film and processing would have sure changed the pricing structure ... :D

LOL yes! It's the most i have done at a wedding, because most weddings i take on are small and intimate, so this one being a big church wedding (Not heaps of people just a LOT of "procedures" to take note of) so i used my laptop to my advantage, i only really have about 4gigs worth of memory (2x 1gigs, 2x512mb, 3x128mbs), and using RAW takes all of that up quickly. SO i used one card, gave to hubby, who downloaded on laptop and then would give back to me and it proceeded like this - i would always have replenished cards :)
