Any ideas on how to create great looking borders around Digital photographs? I found two examples and have attached to this email. Would like to know how to do these.

Thanks for any help.

It is hard to say without knowing what kind of editing program you have. If you have photoshop then I suggest www.goodtutorials.com or google for photoshop tutorials borders. If you don't have PS then I am sorry, I don't know anything about tutorials for the other image editing software.

Seems that Photoshop is going to be the most popular. Both of these look like they were just done with 2 simple layers. On the first, one of the blur filters was probably used on the background layer. The actual image might have had a stroke added to it, or the canvas extended to get the white boarder. The second shot just has two images layered. The background image looks like it was desaturated a bit and had the opacity dropped below 75% or so, while the foreground image has a frame treatment and is left 100% opacity.

In Photoshop this effect could be achieved with layers and a radial blur using the "zoom" instead of "spin" method
