Some action from Leicester vs. Reading. The reason that it was the big one is that if Reading won or drew whilst their rivals drew as well, they'd win the Championship, whilst also guarenteeing entry into the Premier League.

Steve Coppell, Reading's manager, looks pensive during the match.

Great shots. You really captured the facial expressions well and they tell the complete story on their own. Liking them a lot

I'd consider pushing the histogram a bit to the right but these are excellent shots ... I did not know that laying on top of the opponents or simply flying around in the air to get to the ball was legal!

hehe, but remember football is also a contact game to a limited extent & as the game is played with various styles & slightly different interpretations of what is legal & what's not, you therefore get the shirt pulling & flying about (& if you're Jurgen Klinsmann, diving without being touched, *ggg*), watch for a lot of this during the World Cup later this year.

Agreed though, excellents shots. Hope to see more of them next season in the Premiership :)

Thanks for the comments, guys!

They were all shot on on either a 1D MkII or a MkIIn with a 70-200 or a 300mm f2.8 with a 1.4TC clamped on.

Thanks for the comments!

Yea, it was a pretty tight scrum at the end so going by the papers a lot of people got a lot of similar stuff unfortunately!

You did well to get that shot of Coppell above the crowd Pete, did you use the 17-40mm for that shot ?
