shutter speed/tv mode

i have a powershot s230, i was wondering if theres anyway to speed up the shutter speed. is there anyway? i've looked through the instruction manuals and couldn't find anything. The sample picture on the Canon site for this model has a Tv setting, how can i get to that? thanks.

I know that there's a slow shutter option in the menu, but I don't think there is a fast shutter option. There is not a TV setting on this model.
