I was using an editing program which I thought was part of the Zoombrowser program and have since lost it. It had an editing screen showing the photo with a line down the middle that you could slide across the photo to show your editing effects in comparison to the original photo. The people at Canon claim that the Zoombrowsers editing program is minimal and doubt that this is a Canon program. My guess is that Zoombrowser was accessing an external program that I have somehow lost. Can anyone help?

In Zoombrowser, click Tools > Preferences > Image Editor and you will find a dialogue box where you can choose the default editor (I don't know what that is) or you can choose an editor that is somewhere on your hard drive. Maybe the selection that was there before is still there but not currently selected. I am not sure how to find it again except to explore C > Programs and look around for something that sounds like an image editor. I have Zoombrowser 4.0.2.

If you check out the Digital Camera Magazine or some 3D magazines at the bookstore (the ones from the UK that have CDs on the cover) you can sometimes get some good software for the price of the mag plus enjoy all the printed content inside. Definitely look at them and see if there is something you might like to have. A lot of the image management software that you can get for free off the CDs has a built in image editor that may be all you need.
