I am VERY happy with my lens setup and would be interested in getting a teleconversion lens to expand my range. Whats a good converter? 1.4, 2.0, which company etc? I love picking the brains here.

I use my 1.4x teleconverter much more than my 2x. Tamron and Kenko both make teleconverters thas will work on most lenses, but you will lose auto-focus on an f/5.6 or slower lens.

In general I would prefer to have a longer telephoto lens than to use a teleconverter. I only use my teleconverters for extreme situations when my longest telephoto is not long enough and I can't get any closer.

I have a Canon 1.4x that I'm pretty happy with.

Just one question though. What lenses were you hoping to use the T-Con with? I'm not certain that any T-Con is compatible with the lenses in your sig. Best thing to do is check the T-Con sticky in the EF and EF-S Lenses section.

Looking at your gear list,. you don't own a single lens that a teleconverter would work with.

For reasonable results, teleconverters must be paired with telephoto lenses of 135mm or longer.

Please do read the FAQ on Teleconverters at the top of the page before going any further,. it will answer a lot of the basic questions like what lenses they work with etc.

If you want a telephoto, look for a Sigma 70-300APO, they can be found pretty cheaply on the used market (<$200 i believe) and pretty awesome quality. I love mine.

There's also the Canon 70-300IS which is supposed to be an L in sheep's clothing.
