Any advice on this spider shot?

It seems to suffer from diffraction. The sharpness is not there. You shot this at f16-22? Another thing to note is the flash. It seems too harsh especially the shadows. Maybe you can try at bigger aperture (f11) and move back to give a little space to the direction of where the spider is looking :D

He did use f/11!!! I agree about the flash.

thanks for the advice guys
i agree that the flash is harsh, cos' i'm only using my in built flash which flashes directly to the subject.
