The pro lab that I used for printing has gone out of business. Now there is no local place that does a decent job. That leaves me with online printers. Someone recommended that I try Winkflash.
So I went online with Winkflash and set up an album. I tried to upload a TIFF file and discovered that the upload speed is SLOOOOW. So I got offline and saved the TIFF file as a JPEG. That reduced its sized considerably, but the file is still about 2.3M. I then uploaded the file and it took almost 15 minutes. Seems to me that this way too slow to be practical for more than one or two files at a time.
How can I speed things up? What format should I use? Should I reduce the file size in some way other than just reformatting it from a TIFF to a JPEG, like reducing the image size in PS? I think I'm missing something here and need some help.
FYI -- I have Photoshop Elements, but I'm far from good at using it. Also have RawShooter Essentials. I connect to the internetthrough dial-up (what can I tell you -- I live in the boonies).
I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!
