Following my post of a couple of day's ago, I wanted to post this for your consideration

I think mum looks kinda sad?

But I do like the feel of the shot

Very nice control over the background. Almost as if you had it made special for the purpose.:rolleyes:

Perhaps the reason Mum appears to be sad is that her eyes are lifeless, and that's due to the deeply recessed eyes and the light being from very high up. A reflector card or brolly being used to bend some sunlight back up under those brow ridges would put some life into her face and eyes.

Rob......don't think the mother would have held the card for him while taking the picture..............LOL. Couldn't resist. Or maybe just trying to get her to look up slightly.....snap of fingers etc

I was lucky with the background, but she was decidedly nervous having me lurking with my camera and with one so young to protect.
