View Full Version : can you not view RAW files from the 30D?

I am going to order the 30D sometimes soon and i was just wondering what the deal is. I heard that you cannot view the RAW files in Photoshop CS2. Thank you for your help.

Not just viewing but can not convert. But there is a work around available. I read it here in the forum. I don't know what it is since we are not priviledge to have the release of the 30D here yet!!!

The camera arrives with a DPP copy on disc. It converts RAW etc okay... but being forced to use it is one of life's small sacrifices. A little rough living makes you appreciate RawShooter and probably CS2 if you have it.

Now I'll get flamed by DPP diehards... nevermind.

:lol: :lol: That's spot on. I'd never even opened my Canon S/W before but DPP is Ok ... for a while. Roll on the RSP upgrade.

Put this file in your photoshop/Presets/Scripts folder.

Make sure you;ve dcownloaded and installed, the latest Adobe Camera Raw update v3.3

here:

Then open CS2, goto file->scripts and run the Unofficial30Dsupport script. After the message pops up saying it's done, close and re-open photoshop.

Done.. works fine.
