Nice light and detail as well as great habitat. very impressive considering the use of 1.4X ( manual focus I am presuming at F5.6?) and the distance. Nice work!

Funny you should say that but....
I was walking to my Deer spot and was carrying my tripod with my lense resting on my shoulder. When I came to the top of this small knoll, the two geese were hanging out in a flooded area below. It looked beautiful. I didn't even set up the tripod. I set it down slipped AE from f/8 to f/5.6 and fired. I wasn't sure what I would have until I got home on the computer. I paced it off to 210 yards. This lense with a 1.4 and crop factor is just freakin amazing. No Deer tonight though.

Why would he have to manually focus at 5.6?
Wiselion, if you dont mind me asking, where exactly was this? I want to try and get out and shoot some geese, but I think i'll be restriced to Collins park in Scotia because my longest lens is 200mm (the geese there are NOT scared of people, you can walk up to about 10 feet from them)

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I am really looking forward to the fawns coming out. Usually this one field is full of Deer every night. They must have not wanted their pictures taken tonight.:D

JDrex:
This is a 600 Acre farm in Delmar. This place is over riiden with Deer and the guy will not let anyone hunt b/c to many idiots Pi**** him off. I would have you go with me, but he told me I am the only one he will let on due to liability reasons. I had to beg, borrow and steal just to let me on. If you want, email me at wiselion@nycap.rr.com and we can meet up sometime and shoot at some other spots.

Great captures considering the distance involved with clear details.
