Help with resizing...please

I've tried resizing to 800 pixel width under image resize in PS elem4 but the file is over 200 kb and won't upload.
I can't figure out how to make it 100 kb.

I've also looked under resize for web and don't see anything there to help me..

Any help would be great!!

You might need to go down to 640 wide. If you have a detailed image - lots of fur or grass or leaves - it can be impossible to hit 100KB, 800 wide, and keep it looking good. Try 640 or even 700 wide and see what happens.

It's all about making an Avatar, but the concepts and steps are *exactly* the same, you just have to adjust the image width and file size to your liking.
