Hi,
This is my first post having spent a lot of time `lurking`! IMO I was just reading and learning but apparently not!
Anyway, I have a 350d and a 580 EX with an E2 transmitter. The 580 EX and E2 are still in the box! I have volunteered my services for some shots of work colleagues to be displayed in 5 x 7 frames at a holiday resort. Simple, smiley, head on headshots that I will add mountain and landscape backdrops to. The purpose of the shots is simply to show guests the staff who work at the resort. Any tips on how I can position my flash etc would be greatly appreciated. Can I use the on camera flash and the 580 ex?
I hope this is a valid question and in the right section!
Many thanks, in advance.

You could try something like this & just forget the light for the background:

Thanks for the reply - you were the only one! Great link too, it will help a lot. The shots are great with only a basic set up, I was surprised. What camera do you use?
Cheers
