It's certainly a Dove,. from this angle I would not be so sure it;s a "Rock Dove" which is a pidgeon,. but it may very well be :)

There are three kinds of pigeons in Iraq: Rock, Stock and Wood. This looks like a Wood Pigeon to me. Please keep these shots coming, they are interesting birds to see. Thanks.

I have a pair of wood pigeons living in my garden and although I am in the UK I can safely say that this is a wood pigeon (well at least the Iraqi cousin).

Thanks everyone. They are quite nervous birds. I can't get closer than 150 feet from them and they take off. This one was at the very top of a tree. I noticed that they have a shiny blue/green tint to them when I get close enough to them.
