View Full Version : Anyone use the Bower lens adapter tube?

I was thinking about getting it instead of the Lensmate because it was slightly smaller (46mm) at the end. I've heard the Lensmate can partially block the on-board flash at wide angle lens settings (lower right of picture.) I am concerned about vignetting though. Does anybody have any experience? Also where do you buy it? I saw it on ebay, but I'm not sure I want those particular Tiffen lenses as well:

Lensmate has a faq you might want to look at: http://www.lensmateonline.com/faq.html#flash

There is almost no difference in flash shadow between the Lensmate and the 43mm Tiffen. A 46mm adapter should fall somewhere in between.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that. Apart from the question of vignetting, it's seems to be the answer, assuming all the tubes are equal in length.
