Ok I have logitech speakers, and all is well. Now one of the speakers is not playing, so I originally thought "ok maybe i blew it" but when i change the plugs going into the bass, the other works. I cant get them to both work at the same time though. Any ideas? Hopefully that made some sence.

This would be embarassing, but is the plug from the computer plugged in all the way? If it's not quite in tight, just one speaker plays.

Just a thought!

And if that isn't it check the balance on either the speaker or in the volume controls on your computer. If those all appear to be fine then it may be the output from your subwoofer.

EH, I was gonna say that, but I didn't figure how it could accidentally change. Another thought, though.

On the computer, not very easily, but if there is a control on the speaker it could easily get changed.

Yeah sounds like the plug got pulled out a bit and part isn't making contact.

Hmm.. I just tried that, I unplugged it completely and put it back in. Still nothing, I also tried the balance in the audio settings, and when I move it right over, I can faintly hear it. But still nothing :(

thanks for the help.

Must be some kind of weak connection in the speaker wire, perhaps. That's what happens when you use bare wire connections and you just get a couple wires touching...veeeery faint sound.

It sounds more like a sound card issue to me. Maybe one of the channels is blown or fried :)

Might have been the sound card though :p
