Where can you find this?

So far as I can see, there's never been an upgrade firmware issued for the S2 IS. If there had been an upgrade, you should be able to find it here (http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/BeBit-e.html).

It's rare for upgrade firmware to add any new features, even when they're possible on the hardware. Usually Canon produce firmware upgrades to fix bugs, improve performance or stability, and that's it.

My EOS 20D has had several firmware upgrades. Though I didn't have the camera early on in the product lifecycle, I believe the only feature that was added was compatibility with the WFT-E1 transmitter, and everything else was bug fixes or stability improvements.

My Ixus 700 (SD 500) has only had one firmware upgrade, which fixed some errors in one of the Asian languages.
