I have this little problem.
i took some pictures with the s50 in RAW format but although i can see them in the camera's lcd. i cannot download them to my Pc.
i took 2-3 RAW's and 5-6 jpeg pictures.
I "told" the camera to download all of them. The jpegs were downloaded to Pc but the Raw's stayed in the camera.
why?
what am i doing wrong?

What software and drivers are you using?
If you are using the native XP support (not the Canon drivers), you are only seeing the JPEG files. You must install canon software to see them, and it must be done before plugging the camera the first time to be recognized properly. Also I think the Canon TWAIN driver only sees the JPEGs, you must use ZoomBrowser, or open the camera icon in My PC and then copy the RAW (and JPEG too, of course) files anywhere.

Get a copy of BreezeBrowser (you can get a free evaluation copy to try it). It has a great thumbnail viewer, raw converter and a lot of other features. I quit messing with Canon's software (except the photostitch program) a couple of years ago.
I use a card reader that lets me look at the pictures on the card (I always shoot in RAW mode), then I copy them to a folder on the hard drive. I then convert them to JPGs or TIFFs using BreezeBrowser which moves the converted files to separate folder.
I registered BreezeBrowser and have never regretted it.
