Bought the 5D before I went and I can't tell you enough how I love this camera.
Went through major winter storms 2 weeks ago getting there. Took forever. Camped in an already existing foot of snow only to be snowed on most of the time in Yosemite. Only had one good day to take photos there otherwise I froze on the hikes and night shots.
Here are some pics.

Great shots, I love the way the cloud is wrapping around the mountain in the 1st shot. The whole set is well done. Btw, the 4th shot makes me want a fisheye...

These are all very good. Sounds like quite an adventure, camping on the snow at YNP.

Thanks for the compliments. Summer is pretty much the best time to go to Yosemite unless you like snow. Plus only the valley area is open in the winter. So I am planning another trip back in August or September.

stunning set of pics. My favourite being the fish-eye rock. Simple but very effective

Lovely shots. I like the first one for the colours and clarity, and the moving stone one for the composition and use of wide angle lens.

Great shots. I love the half dome shot with the sunset colors and the cloud on its face.

Spectacular! Nothing to critisize at all- compliments to the photographer. I've read that the 5D is a landscape photographers dream- you've proven it.

Love them all but esp the Death Valley fisheye and the half Dome shots. Do you have a Gallery? I would love to see these at bigger resolution...

Very nice. Color, composition, all work well. I especially like your composition. #4 has got to be the strangest phenomenon I've ever heard of. Nice stuff for sure.

Is there a story behind this rock?
http://xzodus.com/deathvalley/images/DV_racetrack05_jpg.jpg
I swear I've heard something about that before. The rock "trail" across the dried lake/river bed is VERY intriguing. Does anyone know how it occured?
