This was one of my first shots with my Canon 300D with the Tamron AF28-300mm Aspherical Lens. They moved an entire old west town out of El Paso, Texas.

Good "catch"! I wonder if they'd care to move Detroit there, too? :D

A very unusual shot - especially for us in the UK.

I do wish they would do that with some of our local areas :-) :-) - Clean things up a bit!

This photo was a section of buildings that was part of an old town replica that was built back in the 70's. It was built to represent Franklin Street in El Paso, Texas in the late 1800's. This section housed four little shops & the shop that would be second from the right was our shop. We sold old west clothing, leathers, etc. The place was a little tourist stop just east of El Paso that had eight of these little buildings, a two story hotel & saloon and a full service steak house. It was really cool actually.

A firm in Florida decided to buy the entire little town & move it 60 miles further east of El Paso to built a quaint little tourist trap but, the whole idea was a flop & it will soon be a ghost town. I was hired by the old owner to photograph the entire event. It was quite spectacular to say the least.

EOSimages, did you ever meet a guy named Gary DiCenzo? He traveled under the name "Cowboy Emporium" with a lot of old west clothes & gear. He's since moved to Arizona I think.

The name doesn't sound familiar but in the cowboy & old west business, I meet a great deal of folks so I guess it's possible. Here is my site for my second passion in life: www.bittercreekbunch.com (http://www.bittercreekbunch.com)

Bruce, it's a blast pard. I got into this back in 03' and I absolutely love it. These are the most down to earth, honest, hard working, old fashion folks I have ever met in my life. Toting guns & shooting all the time ain't bad either.;)
