I like it. Do they call that "selective lighting"? :-) ...Bob

I really like it.

Crop a bit more off of the left I think. Not much...just a little.

I very much like the shot. I do have a couple of comments, some you can take care of with this shot, another you will have to re-shoot, if that is an option.

First, the re-shoot. I would like to see a greater depth of focus on the guitar head. I really do not like the fact that the most proximal area of the head is out of focus. As a general rule, it is a bad idea to have the foreground out of focus unless you have a strong compositional reason for doing so. Cant be fixed on this shot, so a re-shoot is your only option.

Second, I would like to see more light on the players right arm. It is very much a part of what is going on, and as it is now, the arm just disappears into the darkness.

Third, I would add to the empty space on the left, NOT crop it. 2 reasons, first, there is so much activity on the right, you need a LOT of space to balance that. Second, this shot would make a very nice gatefold shot for an album cover. Those are always in a 2:1 format. I think this would work as a 2:1

Forth, follow THIS TECHNIQUE (http://luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/color-gremlins.shtml)for eliminating the chroma noise in the shirt.

Fifth, do not ever ask for "feedback" on a guitar shot again! Otherwise I will be forced to answer "Brrrlllleeeeerrrrr oooooooowwwwww oooooooowwwww eeeeeeeeecccchhhhh wwwwwwoooooooooowwwwwww wwwwwaaaaahhhh"

Non expert here, but I love it as is. I took me a second to see the right arm, kind of let me discover the picture twice. And as for the foreground being out of focus, for this subject I think that's perfect. Often when the guitars are out everything is slighlty out of focus (beer).

I think it's a great shot! One suggestion to think about: maybe lighten up the area on the headstalk that says Fender, just to have it show through a little more. Other whys, great shot!
