Canon EOS 12D... [Archive] - Canon Digital Photography Forums

Some friends told me that Canon will be releasing The 12D in about a year or so. And they also said that it was going to be a full frame digital. Does anyone know if this is true? And does anyone know where I can find information from?

Sounds like wild guessing to me. The most plausible rumours around at the moment concern the replacement for the 1D to be announced in the next month or two. The rumoured spec does not include full-frame.

I think it is likely to be a while before we seen a full-frame and the lower end of the DSLR market: the chips are too expensive. Canon are invested loadsa money in CMOS production, so hopefully we'll see affordable FF some time.
