First taste of music

This is one of my students when the local symphony came to visit. She is learning to play the violin, so they let her hold one and play a bit. Please send C/C. Any suggestions on the background? I added a little blur to help diffuse it, but wasn't sure if it was too much too little? Too dark maybe? THANKS!

I like the blur, not too much at all IMHO. I might suggest cropping out a bit of the left side.

I like the B+W conversion and the intensity showing in her face a lot.

Blur seems a bit too much for my taste, but it's not too obvious ... do you have a picture without the blur?

I love the light on her face and left hand. The expression you caught is right on. Blur doesn't bother me because her face draws your eyes to her. If it was mine I'd print it large and hang it.

Beautiful expression, nice sharp eyes and good background blur. I would try to crop a bit of the left hand side out thouggh for balance. Great shot!

Thanks everyone! I could take pictures of this girl all day long...she works with the camera amazingly well for a 5 year old! A kindergarten classroom is an amazing place to take pictures. Thanks again for all the C&C!

I did give a copy to her mom, who loved it. I also cropped it in a little tighter on the left side like some of you guys mentioned and like it much better! Thanks again!
