S2: Manuel focusing at macro mode?

To Canon S2 users: Can we focus manually at macro mode?
I tried but when I attempted to focus manually, macro sign disapperared.

Yes, you can. I did it for my entry in the Macro Contest. Make sure you hold the macro button down while you press the up/down keys. Very awkward - but it's a point and shoot.

But I will never be like some of these guys on this forum. They completely trash P&S. One guy apologized for taking a photo with a lowly P&S yet the image had absulutely no decent composition and a horrible background. I know enough to know that much of photography is about the photographer.

I hold the Manuel-Focus button down while I press the up/down keys, but when it is macro mode, as soon as I press the Manuel-Focus button, the Macro sign disappears meaning that macro mode is over. So I cannot focus manually at macro mode.
