Or you could pay about $4 more at buy.com for a kingston elite pro 2 GB. I just got it for my 350D and it's excellent so far. It's very fast and the price is a steal.

My guess would be to make sure they had it in hand for the, I have a large session on Weds. Makes sense to me.
