Since I've gotten my 20D, I haven't used a filter at all on any of my lenses. I just assumed that you don't need them if you shoot RAW since you can adjust the WB yourself. Something tells me I'm wrong. Can anyone elaborate?

well, I use the circ polar when the sun is brutal and especially near the water when it's sunny,

Circ. polariser can't be emulated digitally, so we can't go around using those if we want the effect. It's also nice to have a 1 stop or 2 stops neutral filter if you want to reduce depth of field in bright light conditions.

What do you mean by this?

I mean that with other filters, you can "fake it" in Photoshop. But the effect obtained with a CP can't be faked.
