G3 manual focus ring bug ?

I have just bought the G3.

I try to explayn using my poor english ;)


The problem appears when i try to tune manually the focus with the main focus ring.
The bug happens often in lo-light hi-tele conditions...

If i rotate the ring slowly (1 step, wait, 1 step, wait...) the camera seems do not detect the wheel movement, the focus do not change on the bar in the display. I have to roll it quickly to abtain a focus adjustament... Moving it quickly the focus adjustament happens with LAG! (I rotate the ring of half a turn and after 2 seconds the focus change of a big step) It seems a software problem... a bug...

It happens only sometimes but is very annoing....

That happens to me every now & then. I think its just how the camera is - not really a "bug" or anything.

If you mean adjusting the MF using the multifunction wheel on the hand grip, yes, the G5 has that delay too. What I think it is is that there are a number of focus steps between those shown on the screen when the bar jumps. This allows really fine focusing.

Or it is my imagination and the delay is just electro/mechanical.
