Well since I only live 10min away I thought it about time I went down and took some photos. Need more light ISO 400.
Now if I lived next to a Air force base that may be interesting, passange aircraft well.
I think its intersesting that many of us never move outside our "zone" and try other types of photography this is me been out of my "zone"

Very good Tony, I really like the "drama" in the first one - what sort of settings you have to use at ISO-400? 1/500 @ F5.5? (guessing...)

Tony, I was out that way to pick-up my sis-in-law & family... If I only knew sooner I would have gone earlier and had a nosey... I like the 1st one -- nice capture.

Cool shots Tony.
As I can see, You witnessed 05L in action, which only happens for about 4 weeks each year (usually April), whilst they repave 05R/23L runway. So it means we're 400metres closer to the action.
About where the 747 is, go right across the taxiway, and that's just where you can sneak some shots in, around 25mm focal length. (or 17mm when the aircraft are on the taxiway itself).

I haven't been to the airport however in 4 months for various reasons. No time, no motive, and websites telling your photos are "bad quality"
Guess I'll make an attempt to go down, and test my newer lens, and enjoy the closer aircraft. :)
