green fly

saw this green fly on the fence whilst in the garden.
im still learning this macro photography.but hopefuly will get better the more i take

Nice shot, the green really contrasts well agains the dark brown background, I like it! Well done! You're right about the more you take, the better you get!

the problem i got is keeping the camera still. when im so close i have problems keeping still.
and if i use tripod i find i cant get close enough

It isn't a fly, it's a leaf hopper! Nice shot :D

Excellent capture- as Omri says it's a leaf hopper- they have beautiful green shades on them.

Good picture! But the angle is not good, this angle is good for a book.
I think a lower angle of this hopper could have been much better because this hopper have a very beautiful eyes and in this picture you can't see his eyes at all.
Try in your photos to get something else and not just the bug, look at your BG and the DOF you can get in the photo.
