Hi all, I am hoping to sell images to stock from my 10D images straight from camera are soft but fine once I have used the USM in photoshop. Should I submit files sharpened or left as they are (soft)

For stock you shouldn't sharpen them, the only adjustments you should make would be to curves and levels. I am sure there are people who will disagree, and in the end it does depend on the buyer but if you aim to get sharper imaged from the camera with the best glass you can afford you will benefit in the long run.
What lenses do you use? My 10D produces very sharp images so I don't have to sharpen in PS before selling.

Managed to afford the camera but had to skimp on glass, using a 28 - 300 sigma and a 17 - 35 sigma ex both lenses produce soft images

There is a solution that seems to work well for a couple of people I know, and it is what I do (and totally forgot about - duh!). I shoot raw, and use capture one le to convert images. I let this do a little bit of USM, but not too much. I do most of my adjustments in C1LE and only use photoshop for printing and other editing for personal use.
