It finally stopped raining and I took an hour off and wandered around my Chinese village, snapping whatever caught my fancy...

that is a beautiful clear unusual shot of the bananas don
and I took a trip looking at your pictures
and really really enjoyed going up that lugard road.
with many thanks for being such a great user friendly guide on the way ,
enjoyed your funny remarks immensely,
and the simple guidelines as to 'how to' get to the peak and back.
I saw (grin) the 'nice' non barking dog up on the peak
which you don't think can be seen too well :)
loved the picture showing the great tree with big fingers type look about it
and laughed at the shot showing all the shadows of the people taking pictures, you included.
the view from the peak looks wonderful.
the 'turret' shot showing the blossom branch reaching across is very nice.
and especially the infrared sunset shot , it is lovely
all are beautiful, with your helpful advice and chat on the way.
seems to me that santha was close and up there with you on your trip.
regards
marie

These are all excellent photos, particularly the farmer's path, tree, sky (first image) and...oh well, all the rest.

Marie... thanks for taking the trip with me. It's been a long time. About two weeks ago when I was without a camera, I went back to those infrared photos, which I converted from RAW using auto white balance, and converted a few with a custom white balance -- expecting vastly superior shots to what I had posted.
Fortunately for lazy me, the new conversions and manipulations weren't any better than the ones in the gallery -- so I left them, naturally.
It was a fun two days. Sometimes I think I should repeat the venture but there are so many other things to explore and photograph.
Again... thanks for taking the tour and letting me know.
Cheers,
Don

I admire you for your diligence... you're probably one of ten people in the world who looked. Thanks for your comments... they really were just some impressions of the village from a man who'd been held captive in the house by rain for too many days.
Best,
Don

I was one of the ten in the world who looked also. Very nice work. Always impressed with your photos. Infrared really allows the detail to show in certain images.
This was my favorite:
