Here's some more shots guys!
They're numbered so you can leave feedback on the individual picture.

1). Some neat graffiti.

2). Wheel thingy.

3). Rail car side angle.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/graphix_design/trainpic013.jpg
4). Just a side shot.

5). A different take on the wheel shot. (tell me, do you find the angle 'cool' or just plain annoying? As opposed to a perfectly level image.)
Thoughts?

Chris:
For me, I would like to have seen more of the graffitti with the shot more head on versus such an oblique angle. It would reduce the distraction of the ribs on the side of the car.
I really like #2.
#3 and #4 don't do much for me.
I like the angle on #5 I think it is a cool shot.

I love the texture on #2, one of the only reasons I took the shot.
As far as the graffiti, I could have gotten a little better angle, but not much; as there are woods on that side.
#3 and #4 really aren't that unusual of shots...

A nice set of images. I am surprised by the cruddy looking trucks in Nos. 3 and 4 - where is this railroad?
The angle in No. 5 makes for a striking image - another little detail I like is that all of the closest spikes are not tight against the rail. Some one pointed out to me a while back that the spikes are there to prevent lateral motion of the rail , and that tightly holding the rail down is not that critical.

where's the sky ?
It was very over cast, and what sky there was happened to be very plain. Especially at the time of day I took the photo at. Also, I'm not really using a high dollar camera (see sig) The only way to make the sky not appear so blown out is to sacrifice my subjects' appearance (faster shutter speed will under expose my subject [the focal point] but it will not over expose the sky). Without extensive ps'ing anyway :D.
Harold: The tracks are in TN.
Thanks for the comments guys! Keep em' coming! Critisism helps me become a better photographer.

5). A different take on the wheel shot. (tell me, do you find the angle 'cool' or just plain annoying? As opposed to a perfectly level image.) Actually? #5 is my favorite of the series. I like the angle and detail it shows. ;)
It DOES however make me want to stand back in case it decides to tip over.

Cruddy looking? I think they look quite average, if not pretty decent. You should see how crappy the tracks look in Michigan!
I like #5 with the angle and the focus on the wheel with the blurred background. Nice shot!
