All very nice with good detail and exposure considering the conditions you were shooting under.

Some very nice captures indeed of these great looking raptors. Quite well taken too considering the circumstances you did a great job. The heavy crops look a little over sharpened or something as I see a outline around the birds but still, really very nice. Well done.

Mitcon,
Not a lot of PP tbh but they were cropped a lot the outlines do stand out very clearly on the shots with the trees behind but I put that more down to the fact the background being OOF so much and the birds being bang on?

Glenn,
I was probobly crawling through the bushes looking for native reptiles mate!

I was sure that looked like the sparrowhawk I was trying to get shots of aswell but alas i needed another 200mm on me lens for that

Great shots very well done. Did you clone out the wing tags on most of the birds?
Cheers Ricky

Wonderful series of shots varanus. I had hoped to see a red kite during my trip to Yorkshire and northern Wales last August but had no luck. Thanks for sharing these.

Great shots, those red kites don't seem too shy, are they?

varanus
10th of April 2006 (Mon), 07:17
No they are not really shy they do love to be that little bit farther away than you want them to be though!
