Hi everyone,
This is my first dslr camera, and before I post anything... I have NO IDEA what I am doing. Most of the settings and specs make little to no sense to me, I really only have the basic idea of a few things. Ill prolly start with the sticky's at the top of this forum and go from there, but I am open to suggestions and advice to get me started.
Anyway, since its dark out and I didnt know what to take pics of.... These are with the lens that came with the XT as funds didnt allow me to get any others as of right now.

Nice shots! I like the angle on the cat shot.

I like the cat shot also! You might want to try to remove the "blue eye" in the dog shots. Don't know if that works or not...

You could probably photoshop them.

Hope you don't mind my edit! I've never done a dog before!
I used the Lasso tool in photoshop to select just outside the green glow (into the black areas) of the eyes, then desaturated it, then lowered the lightness of it.
Does that make any sense?

Oh, I also re-cropped it so the dog wasn't centered and increased the contrast using curves. I think that's it...
What editing program do you have?

Cool... I just shrank the pic down using basic windows crap. But I do have photoshop 7.0 on CD's, so I suppose Ill have to start using it.

PS7 is a good program. If you want, Adobe will upgrade it to CS2 for about $169US. I'm thinking PS7 is probably better in many cases than Elements4, but I could be wrong...
PS... If you think it's ok for people to edit your pics, I think there's a setting in the control panel of your forum prefs that lets you say so.
