Heavily armoured bug!

This guy was on the table at the park where we take the dogs for a run last night. Very heavily armoured, reminded me of an Ankylosaurus! I played around with positioning, DOF, and exposure, let me know what you think works the best. Yes, there was green lichen on the table where he/she was.

Neat shots Dave- #2 and #5 are excellent- good focus and exposure. Looks like a ladybird nymph- you should have taken it back to those roses covered in greenfly.

Interesting, #2 and #5 were my 2 faves as well, the ones that I thought I'd done the best with. Maybe my seeing eye is starting to see after all!

PS She/he was there this afternoon as well, but I didn't take my macro setup, instead electing to take the 70-200 and take photos of our dogs and grab one shot of a noisy miner!
