Anybody have the SD700 IS / Ixus 800 IS yet?

I am considering this new P&S as a supplement to my 20D. I have a Sony DSC-T3 but am not pleased with the results so am looking for a replacement.

Same here, I am going to NYC/Whasington at the begining of May and as I usually have to travel a lot due to my job and normally I can not carry the bag/bags with all my objectives (airplane= computer case + suitcase + tool suitcase = to many suitcases to hand handle), I am also considering to buy this little marvel.

Amazon was way off on the conservative side with those time frames for the 30D - I think that they said May 15th (of course they've been shipping for a few days from Amazon now). I've seen the SD600 at Fry's online (outpost.com). I would expect the 700 prior to the Amazon date given that Canon says it's available this month (April) in press releases.

From this samples I have the impression that the SD700 is bluring in the borders (vigneting blured); isn´t it?

I saw the SD700 IS at the Circuit City (in Boise) today. They had 3 of them in boxes, but no display unit to play with.

I have just received mine yesterday evening. I have taken some night shoots and I hope to post them this evening. I need to make some 100% crops. For a compact camera, I think the quality is very good.
