Hi.

I attended the 2006 Canadian Juno Awards tonight, and my favourite band, Coldplay, were performing.

I captured, or thought I captured, their performance using my S1 IS. However, when playing the video back on my camera, and computer, it is only 2 seconds in length, despite being a size of 5.20 MB (super fine, 640x480 mode).

Does anyone know what happened?

I'm completely gutted, as I didn't take any pictures of their performance because I thought I was recording it in video

I can't know for sure, and I have a S2-IS, but that seems about the right size file for 2-3 seconds worth of video at the resolution you indicate. So, it would appear that somehow the video was stopped by an accidental button push or maybe by a low battery. Video at that resolution 640x480 and 30fps would fill up a 1 GB card in only about 8 minutes. Sorry you didn't capture what you thought you had.

Thanks for the input. This is very disheartening

Anyone else have any thought? I don't know, that seems awfully large (5.20 MB) for a 2 second clip.
