Hi All,
I have owned a G1 and/or G2 for one year now. In that time I have amassed quite an impressive photo collection. Some human and some non-human. Some boudoir/glamour shots. Have a look and I would appreciate any feedback. I use a 420EX flash and I also doctor the photos quite a bit with Photoshop, so you purists out there may not want to visit. I don't have any techie details on camera settings either. Sorry. Just some great shots from a great camera. Enjoy.

Bruce,
I enjoyed your website. Your pictures (both human & Non-human) are very creative. Thanks for sharing your shots. I am inspired to capture some simalar ones.
What software do you use to make your cutouts? Do you have any special techniques that have helped you with your shots?
Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks for the feedback Eric. I looked at your pics and liked the cobra, the colorful tree and the Christmas ornaments with candles.

Adobe Photoshop 6.0

I have many techniques for different types of shots but if you are talking about the studio ones I shoot the models against a backdrop. I started with a blue plastic tarp and then graduated to a paper photographic backdrop. With a picture of the model against a solid colour (preferably one that is not being worn by the subject) I use the Magic wand to select the backdrop colour and then simply delete it. I usually feather by 1 or 2 pixels before deleting. Then I am left with a cut out of the model very quickly. Much easier than lassooing or erasing around the model with the mouse. Then I drop the model on top of other images, some I find on the web or more often, hopefully other shots that I have taken with the G2. I like putting my models against some of the awesome sky shots that I have taken. I pose my models to look like they are flying or floating in the sky and then stick them as a new layer on a sky shot. Looks cool and quite easy to do.
Hope that helps.
