One of the reasons to have one of the Gs is that you tend to carry it with you... increasing the likelihood of getting decent shots. And if there's one thing I've learned, photographs are like Christmas presents... you often don't know what you're going to get and whether you'll like it until you unwrap it and spend some time with it.

This is one of those shots, taken today on the street in Causeway Bay...

Now before you start thinking that the new modified G1 allows me to run around snapping the shutter without slowing down, I'll tell you that this was shot at 1/8th second, f2.5 on a bright day in the shade. It's been layered and multiplied for mood.

Cheers,

Don

I'm mad about the picture.....
(brooms/ brushes have been my friend for years )
they deserve this wonderful treatment

its a beautiful photograph
I read all the trouble you went to don
and I agree , 'unwrapping' the pictures is a wonderful experience
whatever.
just wonderful , the not knowing how they will really turn out , hoping, and maybe being able to sort it out then if not so good , spending time with them is so worth it.
for some the photographs come out better then for others
but always its interesting ,
always , always
and always done with love too and it shows (mostly)

it is indeed a cool shot. there is something very medieval about it.

Very Very Nice! Don, sometimes less is more. I like your take on pictures being like Chrismas presents, I can relate so much, thats how I was this morning, running home to plug in the CF card only to find I got nothing but lumps of COAL! the ISO Grinch stole my presents.

Santa was good to you, I like the pic alot!'
